Presently one of the top 100 most popular, Alice has been a top 500 placer since the Social Security Administration began keeping records in 1880.

It reached its highest popularity RANKING of #8 for the first time in 1880 and as recently as 1906.

However, the name was bestowed upon the greatest number of babies in 1921 with 11,956 occurrences.

The least amount of newborns dubbed Alice in any given year was 579 in 1997.
